Drawings may be done in pencil or color
You must create 10 complete drawings
You must spend at least 20 minutes on each one
Drawings may be done at home or in class (But only when you have competed your work for the day.)

Suggestions / Ideas:
(These are only suggestions - feel free to draw whatever you want!)
  • A self portrait with a serious or funny face
  • Draw your own comic stripstrip, Manga, or cartoon character
  • Mythological or fantasy creatures or monsters
  • Draw your hands in contour line. Try a variety of positions or overlapping them.
  • Contour line drawings of objects from 3 different views.
  • Draw what you would see from a hot air balloon; an ant's view; etc. (use your imagination!)
  • Creative thinking: the wind, sadness, happiness (other emotions represented with symbols, colors, etc.
  • Practice drawing and coloring letters in bubble-letter or graffiti-style lettering
  • Make and design a new invention!
  • Designs showing patterns or symmetry
  • Draw a metallic object and the reflections you see in it.
  • Draw the inside of a mechanical object. Fill the page with forms and Shade accordingly.
  • Draw a landscape or seascape. Remember to show foreground, middle ground, and background.
  • Draw family members with things that they cherish.
  • Draw the interior of your room and what's in it
  • Study the forms, shapes, lines and textures and colors of trees.
  • Draw animals (if you can't see them live, copy them from a photo.)
  • Draw a plant with as much detail as possible
  • Arrange a still life and draw it with shading.
  • Create a fantasy building and landscape.
  • Collections of objects: toys, books (opened, closed, stacked), kitchen utensils, art materials, contrasting texture items, knick-knack collections, crumpled paper bags, still life of fruit or vegetables, clothing hung from hooks or chair backs, assorted balls, a collection of cans from the pantry or shampoo bottles from the shower. Stacks of shoes. Old hats. Spools of thread.
